Mother's Day

As I mentioned last week, Mother's Day is a day I love to really enjoy and celebrate. Since I was young I have always loved spoiling my mom for Mother's Day and did my best to make the day special for her in any way I could. When I was pregnant with Raj and Mother's Day came, I remember how surreal it felt that I was now a mother to a growing baby; I did the math to think about how old my baby would be the following year and was already so excited to spend it with him in my arms instead of my belly. I love Mother's Day, not for the spoiling, but for the simple fact that I love to celebrate the special bond mothers share with their little ones, its something unexplainable and so naturally beautiful that now as a mom, I hold Mother's Day even more dear to my heart.

It's not about the gifts, not about the event, but about the memories made and the moments we share with our babies.

This is the toughest, yet most incredible job in the world... and every day I am thankful for it.

For Mother's Day this year I celebrated with my two guys with a sandwich picnic in the park, and it could not have been more perfect. Our original plans of wine tasting in the canyons got rained out, and when it was all said and done, I think we ended up spending the day exactly where we were meant to. It was a gorgeous day and the perfect afternoon with my two favorite gentlemen.

Hope all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

With love,
