black X white

One rule I stuck to while pregnant: no maternity clothes. This was something I was so adamant about out of fear of wasting money on clothing I would get such short use of. I am pretty sure the thought and stress of dressing an increasingly growing belly is something that almost every pregnant woman dreads at some point of pregnancy, and the thought of hanging up your favorite pair of jeans for some elastic stretch ones never really was my favorite part of the pregnancy game. What I found to be the most beneficial during those 9 (technically 10) months was to find clothing that would be comfortable and flexible enough to fit my growing stomach, but could also carry over for after I had my baby.

I feel like doing this is something that has become a little easier for moms since now so many styles and trends including and oversized fit. Also, there are the super thoughtful and amazing stores like Pink Blush which make this time period so easy! Maternity wear and pre or post baby clothes all in one place?! I am not even pregnant, and don't plan to be for a loooooooong while, but I say SIGN ME UP!

I snagged this gorgeous bohemian number from Pink Blush recently, and I can not stop wearing it. It is not maternity but could totally be if you needed that, but if, like me, you don't, it works just as well as a chic oversized tunic, or even for a beach or pool cover up, which after these pictures is exactly what I used it for while hanging with some friends at the beach!

Don't you just love clothing pieces that are so interchangeable? Seriously, that is usually the only way I can justify a purchase is figuring out how many times I can wear it, and in how many different ways. It is so important to think outside of the box when shopping, and tops like this make that so incredibly easy!

With love,
