Happy Love Month!

Happy February to my South Coast Movement family! It is already the second month of 2016 and I am already asking myself where this year is going. This year has already been full of so many new adventures and changes, and I have come to the the conclusion that instead of trying to figure it all out, I am just going to jump in and and take the wheel and handle each endeavor with an open heart, clear mind, and positive attitude; the good, the bad, and the new! Being a mom sort of makes the days go by so much faster than they used to seem to before, but it also makes every day so new and exciting. Raj is doing new things, saying new things, and showing so much of his own personality more and more every day and I find it so exciting! Some of his new words are, "hello," a very mumbled "I love you" and everyone's favorite, "thanks!" He has the softest, sweetest voice when he talks and tells stories, and I wake up excited every day to find out what new things he is going to say and do.

With it being the first week of February, I feel almost giddy knowing that Spring and Summer are just around the corner. The weather has been fluctuating so much here in California and while we all seem to hate it in the Fall to Winter months, I know I become thankful for it in the Winter to Spring months. It is pretty awesome to wake up to rain one day, and a perfectly warm and sunny day the next. We had a few of the perfectly warm and beautiful days last week, and I couldn't help but break out my favorite dress for the occasion.

I love everything about this dress, from the color, to the fit, and the details. I love that the dress is a soft pink, but that some of the stitched on sequin flowers and leaves are neon, meanwhile some are darker and more mellow-tone. The a-line fit of the dress is so flattering, and while I don't have my pre-baby body back like I had hoped I would, this dress doesn't seem to mind and makes me feel great and confident!

With my hair getting longer I have been trying to do some more fun and different hair styles. I have been so used to having long hair since I was little, that when it is short I always feel like I don't really know what to do with it, I am definitely more confident with a longer hair style. Lately I have been really into wearing it straight, giving my tresses a little break from the heat of curling/waving it, and since it is now getting longer, I have been trying to only wash it every other day (my hair gets oily quick), which means more up-do's like the one you see here!

My makeup for this outfit was probably one of my favorite parts of this entire look. I felt so honored to get to work with one of the OC's most talented makeup artists @angridlashes, and I am excited to announce that I have a few projects coming up with her over the next few weeks! She is about to launch her own line of false lashes (I am wearing a set in these photos), and I not only love her selection of styles, but love that they are made of mink (more sanitary), cruelty-free, and reusable! Whether you are in the OC/LA/San Diego area and are looking for a great makeup artist, or you are always on the hunt for the most perfect lashes, make sure you check out Angrid Lashes, website coming soon!

Hope everyone's first month of 2016 was wonderful and I hope that February brings you tons of hugs, kisses, and a lot of love. Can't wait to share some exciting Valentine's Day posts with you over the next week!
