Pink Phase

Like many girls (I think), I go through many different color phases. One season I am all about blue, another perhaps some yellow. Black, grey and white are constant, but my favorite actual color to wear changes as often as the Kardashians change spouses (a lot). This time of year you will find me gravitating towards the many shades of pink, and as much of it as I can take in one setting.

When I was a little girl, it was a requirement that any dress or skirt I wore had to have movement and spin when I danced in circles. I would be in the fitting room trying new dresses on and spinning in circle after circle until I found the perfect spinning dress and would prance around everywhere I went when wearing it. Fast forward to now, and that requirement is still pretty much the same, which is why this skirt came home with me!

I love the chic and classic look of a full skirt and preppy sweater, it screams girly girl and although I don't often dress too girly, when I am in the mood, I love to wear items that make me feel as pretty as possible. What could be more girly than layering pink on pink?

To add just a tiny touch of edge, I paired this ensemble with my favorite snakeskin clutch and mixed metals on my wrist. I have been really into mixing gold, silver, and rose gold, and love the versatility it adds while not having to stack too many - I am definitely more of a minimal jewelry girl.

I always say adding high quality accessories to any outfit can make it look like a million bucks and this outfit is the perfect example of that. The sweater is less than $20, skirt (old) was less than $30, but paired with the Christian Louboutin pumps, everything looks so expensive you would never even know how little I paid for each item!! Gotta love fashion.

With love,
Amanda
