Denim Dreams

My love for denim pieces has grown to new levels recently and I can not stop buying denim
Denim tops, denim jeans (in every shade of blue), denim shorts, denim dresses, denim skirts... quite literally the list is endless. I also may or may not have purchased a pair of denim tennies for Raj recently!

The thing with denim is that it is so easy to wear. It goes with every color, every pattern and you can change it up in so many ways and create a ton of different looks with one piece, and we all know how much I love versatility.

Can we please talking about the glory of these shoes? I had been eyeing these gorgeous Aquazzura flats and have almost taken the plunge and bought them on several occasions before practicality took over, and then I stumbled on these amazing TopShop flats and I felt like a fashion God answered my prayers. I decided to get this super pretty red shade first because

1. I have been wearing more red this summer than I ever have in my entire life

2. Just in case they were too cheesy of a knock-off I didn't want to have the black pair if I was going to go buy the original Aquazurra ones in black.

Thankfully, the TopShop ones are perfect. They look great, fit great, and are really comfortable. I wore them to the mall over the weekend and got stopped by 3 people within the first hour of being there and got compliments on my shoes, nothing makes a purchase more justified than the compliment of a complete stranger!

On a personal note, we are currently sleep training Raj and working on him falling asleep on his own in his crib, as well as night-feeding weaning. Did I mention he is also teething?! I am excited to say that we have been mostly successful with him putting himself to sleep and we have decreased night wakings from 8-10 per night to 2-3 per night, but the teething has been brutal. A screaming 9 month old at 2am is no fun and the most heartbreaking and helpless feeling I have ever experienced. I know it is so normal for babies to go through this, but I always feel like the most useless human in the world that I can't help him more than merely hugging and comforting him when all I want to do is make all of the pain disappear. Needless to say I have googled 'how to make teething pain go away' so many times over the last few weeks I have lost count.

Any moms out there have some teething tips for me?!

Hope you all are gearing up for the weekend! We just got news that my mom's surgery will be this Monday. We are relieved its here but obviously a little nervous and feeling hopeful for her. Thank you, again, to everyone for all of your prayers for her over the last few weeks. The love and support my family has received has been so comforting!

Happy Thursday, loves!
